Overview

Buzzza ("we", "our", "us") is a beekeeping management app developed by zZz Bees LLC. We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

Data We Collect

Hive & Inspection Data

Information you enter about your hives, yards, inspections, and actions. This data is stored locally on your device.

Location Data

GPS coordinates for yard waypoints when you grant permission, and optional use of your current position on the device to filter hive lists to nearby yards (for example in the hive picker). Location is not used in the background for tracking.

Camera Access

Used solely for QR code scanning and capturing inspection media. We do not access your camera in the background.

Photos & Media

Inspection photos and videos you choose to attach. These are stored locally on your device.

Data Storage

All your beekeeping data is stored locally on your device. We do not operate cloud servers that store your personal data. Your hive records, inspection history, and media remain on your device unless you explicitly choose to export or share them.

Third-Party Services

Mapbox

Used for map views in yard management. Mapbox may collect anonymized usage data per their own privacy policy.

Expo/EAS

Used for app updates and build distribution. Expo may collect basic device and crash analytics.

Sentry

Used for crash and error reporting so we can find and fix problems. Reports contain diagnostic information about the failure and your device. They do not contain your beekeeping records, photos, or location.

Your Rights

Since your data is stored locally, you have full control over it at all times. You can delete all app data by clearing the app's storage or uninstalling the app. You can back up your data at any time using the app's built-in backup, which produces a file you keep and can restore from.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the app evolves. Significant changes will be communicated through the app or on this page.
