About buzZza
A beekeeping log built to stay useful, stay honest, and stay out of your way.
What it is
buzZza is my attempt to build a beekeeping log I will actually keep up with. The goal is simple: make it easy to record what happened, find it later, and keep enough structure that the record stays useful over time.
I want to keep 300 hives and my day job. This is how I see that being possible.
The honest version
I am a better software engineer than beekeeper, which is a low bar, but I would rather be honest about that than pretend otherwise. buzZza is shaped by real beekeeping work, and also by the fact that I know how easy it is for note-taking systems to get too clever and stop being usable.
Why I am building it this way
The logbook itself stays free. Unlimited hives, unlimited yards, on your device, with no account and no monthly bill just to keep your own records. Back it up to a real file whenever you like and restore it whole; the records are yours to hold.
I do intend to make money, on the things that cost real money to run: your records on every device at once, weather and bloom data for your yards, an assistant that has read your logbook. Those would be premium. Reading back what you wrote down is not one of them.
What is built and what is coming
The roadmap is the whole picture: what is in the app today, what is on the way and free, and what would cost money if it ships. It is kept current rather than aspirational.
